Agent behavior

Reproducible behavioral tendencies and the mechanisms through which agents retain and transfer them.

Archetypal DNA studies the persistent specifications and mechanisms that shape an agent's behavior. Its current research direction distinguishes a versioned behavioral specification from its executable carrier: retained memory, procedures, routing, adapters, model weights, or other permitted interventions. The first proposed study focuses on evidence-based dissent under peer pressure. It tests whether an agent can challenge incorrect claims, incorporate valid evidence, complete feasible work, and preserve authorization boundaries, with removal and restoration tests to identify what caused any measured effect.

The research question

Which interventions create durable, transferable behavioral tendencies while preserving useful capability?

Research workstreams

A question. A method. A test.

Workstream 01

Define behavioral carriers and reproducible policy-groove records

Workstream 02

Compare contextual, memory, adapter, and representation interventions

Workstream 03

Test persistence, transfer, collateral effects, and removal/restoration

Evidence priorities

Make progress measurable.

The initiative is framed around testable questions. Its research direction should be assessed against observed evidence and the limits of each experiment.

  • Behavior under evidence-based dissent and peer pressure
  • Persistence and transfer into fresh tasks and contexts
  • Removal and restoration of the mechanism, with collateral effects measured

Research goals and proposed mechanisms are not established findings. Product-linked tracks describe the research behind a capability, rather than a claim that its hypotheses have been validated.
