Scientific discovery

Persistent, auditable hypothesis testing across pediatric and young-adult AML datasets.

The Federated Cancer Hypothesis Grid explores whether gene-expression interactions can reveal reproducible biological programs associated with outcomes in pediatric and young-adult acute myeloid leukemia. Each candidate relationship receives a durable identity, analysis history, and evidence links while scarce compute is scheduled only when needed. The proposed research combines preregistration, confounding-aware statistical analysis, independent cohort replication, and functional follow-up. Its federation design aims to run approved analysis beside institutional data while sharing only permitted results and receipts. This is exploratory research, not a validated biomarker or clinical decision tool.

The research question

Can cross-cohort gene-expression interactions yield reproducible biological signals after clinical and molecular confounding are addressed?

Research workstreams

A question. A method. A test.

Workstream 01

Preregistered cohort harmonization and statistical screening

Workstream 02

Federated independent replication with bounded evidence exchange

Workstream 03

Functional follow-up and transparent reporting of null or failed hypotheses

Evidence priorities

Make progress measurable.

The initiative is framed around testable questions. Its research direction should be assessed against observed evidence and the limits of each experiment.

  • Preregistered analysis with clinical and molecular confounding addressed
  • Independent cohort replication and functional follow-up
  • Transparent reporting of null results and failed hypotheses

Research goals and proposed mechanisms are not established findings. Product-linked tracks describe the research behind a capability, rather than a claim that its hypotheses have been validated.
